Sewing and creating things began with Mommy :-) Ever since we were little girls she was sewing and creating things, from stuffed bunnies to matching outfits for us girls.

About the time we were five years old we were sewing nearly every button in our sewing box onto fabric, or beads onto a small square of fabric.

That's Susannah's little joke. One year when she was about five years old we ALL got a little square of fabric with a bead sewn onto it for our Christmas present from her :D

When we were old enough to join 4H*, Mommy enrolled us because she wanted us to learn even more about sewing, and learn more about sewing we did! We have learned many helpful tips and tricks from the combined 15 years of 4H our family has been involved in.

It seems that we are always creating things now. Whether it's dresses for ourselves, gifts for each other and for friends, or fun things for our Etsy shop.

Even our two little brothers love to create things, though usually it's with hammers and nails, not needle and thread! Once they did attempt to make their own corn hole bags to go with the OSB corn hole game they built and painted themselves...but they had no corn so they filled their bags with rocks! They weren't the most perfect looking bags, and they didn't know that you were supposed to turn the bags right side out before filling them, but we were impressed that our 7 and 5 year old brothers could run a sewing machine pretty well (with supervision, of course!) ;-)

We officially opened our shop in February of 2010 and it has been a delightful journey ever since! We've gotten to correspond with and make things for people all over the United States as well as in France, Scotland, England and even Australia :-)

*What is 4H? It's a boys and girls club where you can learn how to make a variety of projects and then exhibit them at the county fair. And if you win at the county fair you get to enter them in at the state level. Lots of fun, tons of work, a week full of fun and fair food in the middle of summer
