Welcome to Finch & Leigh.
We are fiber artists who work together and inspire one another to create works of wool and wool felt. Our products feature upcycled and hand dyed wool, wool felt and roving.
Our techniques include hand dyed processes, original patterns, needle felting, lace crochet, hand embroidery and machine stitching, embellishment with old and new notions and vintage buttons. Many of our items are environmentally-friendly because they are made from reclaimed wool products.
Finch & Leigh is a cottage industry. Our items are handmade, and our patterns are printed and hand packaged by us in Milton-Freewater, Oregon.

3 mm and 5 mm merino wool felt. I can sew 2-3 layers of 3 mm wool. But 5 mm slows the needle too much and needles break -
Hand dyed wool ready to go. Finch dyes the wool in our shop. I’m like a kid in a candy shop. -
Feeling the spirit and making 3-D wool felt trees…..with a few pom poms for good measure! -
What else can you do with the Daisy pincushion pattern - maybe reverse applique with a felted wool sweater background.
