Created by husband and wife team Alan Kwon and Sandy Ho, Fishcake Design is a Brooklyn-based letterpress and graphic design studio, specializing in handmade custom invitation suites, stationery and other paper goods. The pair met in New York City, where they connected over a mutual devotion to food, great design and adventure. They continue their explorations, traveling the world and adding to their stores of inspiration.

After working many years in the corporate world, they found themselves needing more of a creative outlet. That outlet was discovered in a letterpress class and it was instant love. The process, printing, and beauty of making each item by hand was exactly what they were looking for. It began with wedding invitations for friends and family and then grew to include a greeting card line, personal stationery and limited edition posters.

Like Sandy and Alan, the Fishcake aesthetic is fun and playful. It combined witty text with adorable illustrations to create a line of stationery that tells a story. Sandy and Alan make truly exceptional and high quality paper goods – pieces that remain as keepsakes. Their care and craftsmanship is particularly evident in the custom work they do. They take great pride in making unique and interesting pieces in collaboration with their clients, from concept to delivery.
