This brooch was one of several on Etsy I was drooling over, being a lover of abalone blisters, silver, and tiny, hand made objects of age. I bought this one over the others for several reasons: The Fleabitten shop seemed less pretentious & more eclectic than the other shops, and wasn't a specialty, antique-y kind of place, and the price was more realistic for me than the others. The pin arrived quickly, and when unwrapping this treasure, I found it carefully and artfully packed- the brooch was even pinned through a lovely piece of vintage lace and accompanied by a thoughtful note. The brooch was perfect in every way. I swear I felt I had received a very special gift, picked especially for me, and wrapped to reflect it's special worth. I had!
