I check out a book for my kids from the library called, Inkblot, by Margaret Peot. I found the traditional inkblots interesting, but the part of the book that fascinated me the most was the section on blown ink. The book also introduced me to Stefan Bucher and his website www.dailymonster.com. I was totally inspired to tried blown ink myself. Later I decided to sell some of my favorites here on Etsy. So whenever the mood strikes me, I sit down with a dot of ink and a strawn and see what happens. Not every ink blot speaks to me. But the ones I do I flesh out with marker and pen so that everyone can see what I see.
