Created with beauty, simplicity, and ease of use in mind.,I strive to make doll clothing for the youngest doll fan to the oldest doll collector. All clothing is lovingly and carefully constructed in a smoke-free environment.
My love of dolls started in 1993 when I came across a doll catalog that had been cast aside by someone else. I spent hours looking at the 5 beautiful dolls the company offered and begged my mom for one that was a lot like me. Two years and lots of begging later, my family surprised me with the doll who’s picture had captured my heart.
After a few weeks, I grew bored with my beautiful doll’s only outfit, and knowing that the outfits the doll company offered were too expensive, I turned to my grandmother. My grandmother is now in her eighties, and has been sewing since she was a child, so I knew she was the best person who could help me and my doll. Sure enough, she taught me the basics of hand sewing, how to follow a pattern, and how to draft my own basic pattern. Since then, I've always loved sewing.
I have done other non-doll related projects such as making a flower girl dress for my wedding, and pillows and pillowcases for my sons, but my love of dolls always brings me back to doll clothing. My current collection of dolls include dolls from American Girl Collection, Bitty Baby, Our Generation, Journey Girl, and Springfield Collection.
When I moved to South Carolina in late 2008 I started paper crafting, My love of crafting and my eye for color translated from sewing to paper crafting so easily. I now use supplies interchangeably.
