Creating things has been a big part of my life – you should see how many paintings my mom saved from preschool (and she didn’t save them all). I think my first camera was a birthday present when I was 7 or 8. It was a Kodak Instamatic X-15F.
Now I use a Canon 5D and a few lenses, including my favourite 100mm macro lens. Taking photos helps me slow down and breathe easier. I enjoy taking my camera on photo walks and am always trying to improve my skills.
I am an artist…creation-capturing, light-chasing, detail-loving, memory-recording, design-critiquing, list-making, book-devouring, pixel-wrangling, glue gun-wielding, stuff-organizing, thoughtfully-reflecting, decaf-pumpkin-spice-latte-thirsting.
I was born and raised in Abbotsford, BC, but now I live in Quesnel, BC, Canada, which is about a 7 hours drive north of Vancouver, BC or 8 hours if you’re traveling with little kids like us. My husband and I have two girls.
I post nature photography and quotes on my blog, ATimeForWonder.blogspot.com.
