My Artistic Ability

I opened my Etsy shop Christy Crafted Covers in December of 2009. My shop name was inspired from another product that I used to sell. I first started making hair bows and ruffled ribbon socks, which helped start the journey.

My product line changed when I walked into my Mom's quilt store and saw over a thousand bolts of beautiful fabric. I took a few yards home and that is when things really took off. I made pillowcases, burp clothes, monogram laundry bags and tissue box covers from the beautiful fabrics. I really enjoyed making the tissue box covers and have stuck with this product throughout the years. The main reason is for my customers, so they may cover up those ugly, unsightly tissue boxes sold in the stores. The tissue companies really try hard to come up with something pretty, but I always outdo them with my designer fabric tissue box covers. The best thing about my business is hearing from my customers. Some have told me that the covers they buy from me really brighten up their day. I am also told that the covers make a unique gift for my customer's friend, kid's teacher, grandmothers or mother. This deepens my desire to sew and produce the finest product possible.

I launched my business back in August 2007 on Etsy. I like to sew and sell all things handmade. I have been sewing since I was eleven. I made my first queen sized quilt when I was nineteen. I even hand quilted the entire quilt.
