Jed was my father and the' corner stone to our family. He had a passion for making things from wood, my whole life I watched as he created and as I got older he shared his knowledge and passion with me his son Josh. I would say some time around 2007 he started JLJ Design in a short time I found myself in the shop with dad sharing his passion and working with the thing that gave us the most time together. On a cold winter day my bestfriend walked in to talk to dad and soon she would be a part of the shop too and eventually my wife, dad was not one that liked girls in the work place not because he didn't think they could do it but because he didn't want distractions at work but she learned and shared his and my joy, and gave another perspective on female needs and wants. One day we were all sitting in the shop and a conversation started and dad asked us if when he was gone if we would promise not to let the shop go with him he wanted his dreams to carry on and we promised. In January of 2019 we suddenly and quickly lost our corner stone to cancer a battle he never even got the chance to fight and we kept our promise and brought the shop to our ranch to continue dads dreams. Life for us has been ups and downs and the joy to any day has been getting to spend time in the shop working on products and those moments when something makes you smile as a memory of dad passes through and you feel the joy all over again.
