Meet the Owner:

Hey there! I'm Kelli Montgomery, the owner, designer and maker behind Molly Lou’s by KM Designs Alabama. I am a mom to one super-talented, red-headed daughter, and I have been happily married to my college sweetheart for almost a quarter of a century. I love Jesus, coffee, quiet time, all the pretty things, and photography. Road trips are my thing! Put a camera in my hand, take me to a national park, and I'm a happy girl! Creating has always been a part of me. Little did I know when I left my 13-year occupation as a speech-language pathologist to homeschool our daughter many years ago, that God would also provide a way for me to do something I had always longed to do....but that's exactly what He did!


Our Story - Est. 2012:

In 2012, as a homeschool family, we began a handmade business selling a little bit of everything. A few months in, I found myself making dog collars for our oh-so-sweet fur baby, Molly. When she wore them, they made us smile big, so we decided to add them to the list of growing products, and we began selling them in a local boutique. Mid-2013, we added them to our etsy shop and the rest, as they say, is history. The look of our shop, logo, etc. has changed over the years, but our goal has not. We strive to offer you and your pets something out of the ordinary, something truly unique and handmade, something that makes you smile, while never compromising on quality or customer service!

Here's a super fun fact about us. Approximately 90% of the fabrics found in our shop are designed exclusively for our products. You won't find them anywhere else. That's where the super-talented, red-headed daughter comes in. With a BFA in Graphic Design and her whimsical style, she's the perfect candidate for designing the cutest fabrics around!


Meet our Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager:

Hey y’all! My name is Madelyn Montgomery Pressnell, and I’m the resident Graphic Designer here at Molly Lou’s KM Designs Alabama. The majority of the fabrics used in the shop are designed by me with your sweet fur babies in mind. I’m an avid lover of all things colorful, bright, and whimsical, and a I’m a firm believer in doing what you love and loving what you do. I’ve been a crafter since I was a little girl, from making pillows out of construction paper and tape, to sewing dolls from scrap fabric I would find in my mom’s craft room, to now drawing patterns with procreate and illustrator. Even though my “crafting” has changed over the years, sitting down and creating never ceases to bring me happiness. It’s always been, and always will be, such a huge part of who God created me to be, and now, because of y’all, my passion has become my job! Sweet Inspiration:

Our sweet Molly truly is the inspiration behind the collars, so in 2018, we added her sweet face to our logo. Not only was the first collar made for her, but she was the model of KM Designs for the first few years. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to her in 2017. She brought our family 16 years of joy, and we are so very thankful that her sweetness can live on in the collars! Every time we see one of your fur babies wearing their Molly Lou accessories, we smile and remember. Our newest inspiration is our sweet boston terrier, Loula Belle. We welcomed her into our family in 2020, and we can't imagine life without her!
