When I was a little girl my grandmother gave me free reign over all of my mom and her sister's childhood possessions. There are a few items that I remember distinctly from that time and they include piles of 1970's paper dolls, a sweet Barbie RV and a framed head shot of David Cassidy. As I loaded dressed paper dolls into the RV under the smiling face of the Partridge Family heartthrob, I began to appreciate the unique and wonderful world of vintage.

After many years of obsessively listening to oldies, frequenting antique shows, and witnessing my mom dumpster dive for the first time, my love for American history and vintage artifacts had overtaken me.

I'm now a wife and mother living on a homestead in America's heartland, doing my best to honor a vintage homesteading lifestyle. I collect vintage so avidly that opening a store was not only a dream but also a very productive way to control my collection. Many vintage items interest me and I try to offer a very eclectic mix on Little Red Chair Shop.

Beyond running a shop I'm also a film photographer, a baker, and a blogger. My family and I live in a farmhouse that my husband's great grandparents built. We farm corn and soybeans, raise cattle and chickens, and channel our Pacific Northwestern roots in most everything we do. I'm passionate about vintage and the role that it plays in our lives. We believe that buying and collecting vintage is not only a way to reflect your personality but also a small way to keep the earth green and support small business.
