When you COMMISSION a work, large or small, I will assume you intend me to begin work immediately and therefore commit to paying the full amount. I will generally ask for at least part-payment upfront so I can buy sufficient tea. Under no circumstances can I make art without tea.

A word of warning about NAME SIGNS: please be very certain of a newborn's name before you commission a name sign for them! It's never gone wrong yet, but there's been at least one close call. I am very happy to send you a beautiful voucher for a name sign, which you can present on the birth of a child if the name has not been decided. The parents then just contact me with the voucher number and, crucially, the name, and I make the actual sign.
