In art school I've tried a lot of different techniques and materials like photography and sculpting, but somehow painting and drawing are the things I always come back too.
To me it seems like the most natural way to visualize my ideas.
My paintings are little stories, told in paint, or maybe illustrations for untold tales.
What I love about them the most is that it's not just me telling the story, but the paint as well.
Some of the techniques I use are a little experimental, I press things in the paint, hold the paintigs upside down, mix my own pigments with acrylic binder.
This way, even though I usually have a plan when I start painting, I still don't know how the painting will be, the paint speaks too, so the end result is a surprise sometimes.
I work with ink and acrylic paint mostly, I love how I can use a lot or a little water, so I can give the ink and paint different characters every time.
Color and composition are important instruments for me, and lines and shapes too.
In my line drawings I play with perspective and depth.
All the paintings in my shop are originals, the postcards as well as the bigger paintings.
I love all my paintings, but if I had to choose a favorite it would be the "Be My Inspiration" custom postcards.
People can give me a word or a small phrase and I will use that as the inspiration for a painted postcard.
I love surprising my customers with an abstracted impression of their idea.
