When I hold a stone, I can feel the energy and the love of Mother Earth. I am often fascinated by the colors, the inclusions., and the layers that have been laid down over time. I wonder at the ages that it took to compress the elements into what we now identify as a gemstone. What was happening historically when Lapis Lazuli or Quartz Crystal was being formed in the earth’s crust?

And then my creative soul starts imagining how I can make each stone into pretty jewelry. Many times I feel I am re-homing a stone and that it will be cherished for years to come.

I love the fact that a piece of the earth can be worn on the body, grounding us. For thousands of years, people have adorned themselves with earth elements, be it stones, coral or wooden objects. We carry on this tradition today.

A piece of jewelry is often the first gift between sweethearts and many families invested in jewelry as a form of security for times of need. From religious buildings, royalty,and within family lineages, jewelry, and particularly gemstones, have been valued and passed from one generation to the next.

Often I am asked which stone to wear for a certain medical condition, a job interview, to meditate with, but I have found that you, the shopper, often will select a stone by instinct and then find out that it meets one of your needs. The internet is filled with wonderful sites explaining the merits of each stone or an element such as copper. All stones are crystal formations that emit vibrations. Since we humans are also crystalline at a cellular level, the frequencies of the stones can often communicate with us. Then, aside from all the esoteric information, you will know if you simply like something, does it look pleasing, is it your "style", is it the gift you know a friend will like?

One thing is for sure. You will never feel over or under dressed when you decorate yourself with stones.

ORGONE
Orgone ( meaning life force ) is a man-made substance using resin and metals. Often various crystals are added to the product. Much scientific study has been done using orgone since its discovery by Dr. Wilhelm Reich starting in the 1930s. Orgone is said to counteract the harmful side effects of electromagnetic radiation and frequencies. Positive ions, which are produced when an electrical current passes through a device such as a toaster, a cell phone or a computer, can be counteracted by using a negative ion generator such as something containing orgone.
Our bodies are electrical units themselves, from the heart muscles to the activity or each cell. Our bodies emit and function best with negatively charged ions, as does all of nature.
Ogone is based on scientific principles. While orgone does not reduce the existence of the external positive ion production, it is said to protect our electrical energy field from the effects of ion producing items by adding negative ions to the environment thus adding balance.
Orgone is a combination of organic ( resin ) and inorganic ( metals ) material. Stones are often added for their own properties or wavelength emissions. Quartz stone is often considered to be the most powerful but most stones are of the Quartz family, including Tourmalinated Quartz, Rose Quartz, Amethyst and Aventurine.
*NOTE: Orgone is not a "cure", but it can be a life enhancer the way "grounding" is.
