Hi! I'm Erin (not Mina as you might suspect). Welcome to Mina Prints!
Here's the backstory: At one point in my life, I had to be on bed rest for months. My mom got me a sewing machine to help me pass the crazy long days. I sewed like mad during the times I was allowed to be up. I immediately noticed that I was drawn to certain types of fabrics: those with only one color and white - which at that time were surprisingly rare in the huge world of fabrics.
So, I started a very, very long beeline towards making my own single color fabrics. A couple years and a thousand experiments passed and I finally arrived at my first collection for Mina Prints.
I hand draw or digitally design all the patterns, then hand screen them using hand-mixed environmentally friendly water-based inks.
My fabrics are purposefully simple and meant to be unique, bright accent pieces in your sewn works. They love, love, love to be paired with lots of white and coordinating solids, along with fantastic top-stitching. Enjoy!
Oh, about that whole Mina thing (pronounced meena): there are a lot of beautiful names out there when you start looking around. Mina is one of those.
