Nightsparklies - she who sparkles at night, is the artist persona of my soul, heart and mind.

The magical, mystical and sometimes strangely fantastical art is an expression of both my inner world and imagination, but also my way of understanding reality. Ranging from the sometimes terrifying emotional portraits to the strange eloquent creatures that roam my universe, I aim to reach the viewer and leave a mark on their heart. In a way, this is my personal way of communicating with the world, as I´m much of an introvert and have always been a fairy child, finding as much wonder in the tiniest mushroom on the forest floor as watching the moon glow at night.
I have lived through books, fairy-tales, myths and legends as much as historical accounts, cannot remember a time where I was not drawing something, somewhere, wherever, however I could. As much as I am a child of different cultures and countries, my art has its roots in several mythologies, specifically norse and in a broader sense, germanic. I have always been drawn to ethnic and cultural art, regardless of distance or time. And I do feel quite like a strange little elfling.
