oBo Creations is a story about discovering hidden talent. I never studied to be a jewelry designer; I may have always liked contemporary design and colorful items, but I hardly envisioned sometime making it myself. I started crafting as a way to take my mind off of my day job, which can sometimes be overwhelming. My first creation was an Easter egg painted in bright colors, and I liked it so much that, while searching for other things to paint, I soon turned my attention to beads and jewelry.

I quickly became hooked. No matter how tiring my day job, I still spent endless hours after work searching online for shapes and components to create the design I had in mind, and then to paint them.

My signature style is bright vibrant colors of my jewelry. While it looks like enamel jewelry in fact i use very different process. My secret is special paint that creates a special effect on the surface when it dries. On big pieces it appears as magical honeycomb pattern with shades of color, on small pieces it creates amazing uneven tone as if it shimmers from within. I apply it by hand on each piece and then i add a thick dome of glaze that gives the color further dimension and 3-d illusion. One cannot get that with traditional enamel. A lot of people asked me if the final result is "glass" or "gemstones" actually.

There is so much more to oBo Creations then simply making the jewelry - i had to learn macro-photography, graphic design to create online banners and logos, scrap booking (to decorate my packaging), presentation at at creative exhibitions that i really enjoy doing etc, etc etc. So much to do with so little time! My husband helps me a lot. This whole enterprise would be impossible without his help and most importantly support and encouragement.

All in all discovering my passion for jewelry-making and starting oBo Creations has enormously enriched my life. I am very proud of what I have accomplished and that I do it in addition to being a lawyer. It is not easy to keep up this combination, but I am determined to make it work.
