Inspired by the encouragement of friends and family, propelled by necessity, Peony and Palm Co. was launched in July 2019....

The name "Peony and Palm" is very special to me. The Peony is one of my favorite flowers, it is timeless, classic and feminine. Peonies are heirloom flowers enjoyed by countless mothers, grandmothers and daughters through generations.
The Palm, also a favorite, is a strong and graceful tree found in my favorite destination spots, and is a source of beauty, food and function. In Hawaii, I learned so much about this beautiful species of tree.
Both of these beauties of nature bring to mind special times, places and memories of the heart and seemed the obvious choice when deciding on my Etsy shop name.

I am a creative person at my very core.

I have always enjoyed creative expression through sewing, cooking, papercrafting, cardmaking and more recently wearable art.
I began making flower pins for a Ladies Retreat Conference in 2018 and was well received and encouraged to make my pins available in a regular online presence. Since then, I have also sold my upcycled fabric flower pins at Anniversary meetings and Camp meetings.
