Hello! My name is​ ​Ven Ven Law. I live in a beautiful​ ​neighbourhood just a few kilometres away from the centre of Amsterdam with my​ ​family​, my lot of plants​ and an old cat. I’m the creative director, designer and sewing lady at Qtpiworkshop​ ​since 20​09.​ ​I also have a degree in​ ​Visual Communication​ ​and a part-time job as a project manager in Grayscale​, a web design agency​.

​My passion (more like addiction) to create something with my own hands ​started when I was small. I used to make stuffed dolls out of my old clothes.

Qtpiworkshop began in 2010. We lived in the Netherlands with our three-month-old son, and I was given the old German sewing machine from my hubby's grandma. There wasn't a lot to do despite reading and breastfeeding, I decided to make something out of used clothes while my baby was sleeping.

The very first few QTPI's pieces were a pair of baby jeans, hoodie, jumper, pumpkin hat for my baby boy and a mobile sleeve for my hubby. My hubby was so happy using his wallet for a while and one day, he told me that I should try selling this product (or baby clothes) on Etsy, a place for crafty mommy(back then).

That was how it began.

I love making fabric creation by improving or adding functions to the original concept. I try to enhance details that make sense and are useful. I hope you enjoy our story and the experience of handmade creations.
