What the heck is a Rabbit Shack...?

It all started in 2008. I was living in Morrison, Colorado, in the shadow of the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre. I had been a glass blower since 1994, and I was trying desperately to be self-employed, but a little unsure of how to start. That's when a friend suggested I should start making pipes and sell them in the parking lot at Red Rocks. Hmmm. So we converted the tiny shed in my backyard into a very small, but functional glass shop. While we were working on it we found, buried in the ground, this strange, rusted, metal rabbit coat hook.....my friend instantly nailed it to the side of the shed.
"The Rabbit Shack", I said.
We laughed.
It stuck.

I worked in that space for the next 5 years.

In February 2013 I moved into a space that was previously a stained glass studio. Now the new shop is tucked in the woods in beautiful Evergreen, Colorado, just a little further into the mountains from Morrison. The Rabbit Shack will always be a work in progress, but the new studio is truly a dream come true for me.
