2020 Vision!
Covid-19 has changed the economies around the world. For us living on a tinny island in the middle of the ocean, thousands of miles away from any population other then our 70,000 residents on island, it has been devastating. Our economy was 75% tourist driven. But our COVID numbers have been the lowest in the Nation.

Meanwhile as we build back locally I am offering some super great deals during this time. I am also trying to offer "Free Shipping" where possible. again the isolation here is not very practical for either side of a sale. So please come back as there are additions being made often. AND I am finally working on some COVID art and new art and will be offering Photos of Kauai card sets soon!

Original artwork in a variety of media...mixed, oil on canvas, oil pastel, watercolor, inks, gouache and soft pastel. I also offer limited Giclee (high end reproductions that are limited). I offer greeting cards and inexpensive prints too.
You can find my artwork on the island of Kauai at Hawaiian Artisian, in Coconut Market Place and soon at selected day markets.

If I dream it I will paint it!

Paintings and visions usually come from my dreams. I have day dreams while walking along the ocean edges of this beautiful island of Kauai, as the sun first begins to come into a brand new day. I love sunrise and find my deep inspirations here. I also have vivid night time dreams that are usually profound to my own self. I have learned to trust these the most. I often dream of the ocean and am surrounded by it.

My women come to me like a good long time friend would. I often feel the strength more so then really hold a vivid image of them. They bring messages during times of my own personal challenges. They bring me hope and share a purity in unity and love.

My newest series is those I call my Human Doing series of folks. Many are uni gendered or non gendered. Many are standing for a purpose. Many are playful with life. These have become an entertaining sort for me as they pop out from anywhere. They came about from diving into that time when first I knew deep inside that I wanted to be an artist! I would sit with my maternal Grandmother during our lunch break of tending to the hundreds of rabbits, turkeys and chickens. We would often sit in the barn, shaded and she would tell a story with drawings in the fine dirt floor of the barn. Her people would have these button doll faces and be more stick like then my Human Doings.

I remember often a valuable lesson I learned from a fellow artist regarding creative flow verses blockage. She said to go back to a time when we knew deep inside that we wanted to be an artist. Go back to a time where we are most familiar because she believed that if we focus on our familiar then we can begin to flow once again.
