It all started when I was a young girl spending time with my grandmother. To pass the time doing what she did best, she taught me to make dolls on the floor of her den. Although this may have been just another day of caregiving to her, I would never be the same.

From there, I explored other mediums in art classes, did all manner of craft projects in my free time, and came up with my own sewing projects. More than eighteen years ago, I took a quilting class. At that point, I got my focus! I began to sew insatiably, perfect skills, and do local craft shows. Once I started a family, it became increasingly difficult to do shows. Finding a marketplace like etsy was like a dream come true. The juggling was simplified. And, oh, the infinite possibilities!

I seem drawn to anything that is unique. My favorite fabrics are reproduction flour sack, batiks, multicultural designs, and anything unique. I have never been very trendy. I just like what I like. I rely on my 11 year old to tell me what is the 'in' thing. Seriously.

On a typical day, I stay busy with my two girls, who are the inspiration for many of my items. I tend to use them as my own personal guinea pigs. They test my products for me. I seem to get plenty of ideas and feedback just by making things for them and playing on the living room floor, much as my grandmother did with me. My product line seems to change and grow with them. I also work in a thrift store, so one can only imagine the unique fabrics I find there.

All my items are made 100% by me in my Maryville, TN home. I put time and heart into all that I create. It is a good feeling to make something unique from beginning to end.
