Growing up my parents were constantly traveling to antique shows and auctions. I have fond memories of bouncing around the back of a van (no seat belt!) traveling up the coast to Vermont to pick up antiques.

With such an upbringing it was no surprise to me that after college I took a job as a manager in an antique store. There the owners shared the insider secrets to antique trading and opened my eyes to my true passion-- jewelry. I learned about gemstones, metals, dating pieces and how to buy and sell.

Even though I left the antique store and moved -ahem -into adulthood and into an office position I still bought and sold on the side. As the years passed people started to contact me to help them sell their antiques. That lead me to train to become an appraiser. After years of hard work I have achieved the highest credentials from an international appraisal association.

Update: We opened in November of 2022 a storefront in Taneytown, MD. We offer sizing, repairs, conversions, and hand engraving services. Owner Amy Goodell is a GIA AJP and Diamond Graduate who is licensed to purchase precious metals. She also holds the highest credentials as a personal property appraiser with the International Society of Appraisers. Besides jewelry we offer appraisal services for household content, sterling, antiques, artwork, and vehicles. Our storefront is in Taneytown, MD. On June 25th I wrapped taping of the Cheasapeake Collectibles show where I was the jewelry specialist.
