I never thought I would want to be a stay at home mom. Don't get me wrong; I thought it was great when women did want that, I just didn't think it was for me. Then our little girl came along. The need was so strong to be with her I just couldn't focus on anything else...seriously, I think my husband said yes just to make me stop talking about it.

I loved it. All of it. Even the crazy days when the house was destroyed and she was being a terrorist. But I was starting to need a little bit more. We kicked around the idea about me going back to work just part time, but that scared me. I didn't want to get sucked into another job and end up working well over part time leaving little time with family. My husband suggested I put my art major to good use. So I am. I am taking small bits of time, when she is napping or after she goes to bed, to make things. And to be honest, I am so surprised at how much joy it is bringing. I feel fulfilled with just this small little shop of my creations and I get to do it all while watching my child grow. This is my little slice of the pie!
