I always loved creative people, folk art and unusual fashion, but I never saw myself as a "maker" so I ended studying a Communication career. After I got my degree I found myself lost and unmotivated, applying for random jobs and figuring out what to do with myself.

One day my brother brought home a black cat, a tiny furry thing that sleeped in a card box. "We should decorate this little bed" -I told myself, and cut a cat silhouette from an old black felt sheet where I hand embroidered its name -Misifú- and then glued it to the box. It looked nice, so I cut some more felt cats and sew them in a pink t-shirt. Then I made fruits, and boats, toadstools, flowers, I couldn't stop! People started to get interested in my customized t-shirts and I started to think I really could make something productive with my hands.

Since then I've tried to learn and dream and make and work with the passion of those who love what they do. The customized t-shirts gave way to cute dolls and plushies, fancy headpieces and other hand stitched and embroidered little things. And then I discovered Etsy, a place full of beauty, charm and respect for the creative work. And I stayed.

I work from home, in a little colorful messy studio with a sunny window from where I can hear old ladies chatting and teenager lovers being, well, in love. I also can hear kids yelling like mad. I feel really...me when I'm in front of a table full of fabric scraps, buttons, yarn balls, pieces of paper with doodles and half finished projects here and there. I love to create lovely textile characters and other little colorful things from scratch. It's magical.

Some people finds my brand name funny, because supercursi means something like "supertwee". I can be acid and grumpy, but most of the time I'm a girly creature who loves dresses and skirts, mismatching houseware, silly little trinkets and movies that end with The Beach Boys' songs.

I really love The Beach Boys.
