We have finally achieved my dream of moving back to Europe and are now living in Barcelona, where I have returned to my former and much missed occupation, as an English as a Foreign Language teacher.

One day, I hope to reopen my Etsy shop, but, in the meantime, I am enjoying teaching and being in Europe after 14 years in the US.

Thank you to all my wonderful customers over the years. I am very grateful also to Etsy for providing me with an arena in which I could channel my creativity, whilst raising my kids. Without it, I may well have gone insane!

To all those out there who think their dreams are impossible - keep taking those baby steps and you'll get there.

Sweet Mix Creations - lovingly hand painted from my home to yours

Who would think that one little hand painted drawer knob or set of knobs could bring so much happiness!

I found my little niche about a year after opening my Etsy shop back in 2007.

Since then, I have painted 1000s of knobs, in a hundred and one different styles and colours. Each has been sent on its way carefully wrapped and tied, with the knowledge that soon it will be on a dresser, cupboard or closet door in nurseries, bedrooms, kitchens and just about any place you could put a drawer knob!

It makes me so happy to be able to create a utilitarian, but lovingly hand painted piece of artwork, that will be used on a daily basis, for years to come.

Etsy really is a wonderful place that has enabled me to stay at home to raise my kids whilst giving me an outlet for my creativity.

Now I can sit and paint, with my cup of tea, looking out of my kitchen window and connecting with a world of people, helping to welcome little ones to the world and adding a little splash of colour to people's lives.
