I see pieces of vintage as either an existing piece of art or a potential one. When I come across a piece at a flea market, estate sale or thrift store I suddenly become the caped crusader of unappreciated, undervalued vintage and I feel its my job to save them from their captivity.

The older I get the greener I get. So now its not just the vintage pieces I am trying to save but all the vintage fabric that sit lonely on the shelves of someones garage or a church thrift store bin. Who else but me would buy that neon polyester fabric? One touch the fabric comes to life and I see a model strutting down the runway in one of my designs using that crazy fabric. Its fabulous!

As much as I worship at the altar of fashion, I just can't get with fast fashion, high priced luxury items...I truly believe that by only shopping for sustainable eco-fashion & vintage we can make a huge difference in the world. :)
