I have been working as an artist in East Sussex for many years. I paint landscapes mainly in oil on board, and exhibit both locally and further afield. I paint on a traditionally prepared gesso ground which gives a lovely surface to the painting.

A couple of years ago I made my first needle felted fox mask when my daughter needed a mask for an animal themed party at University. She then asked me to make another for her friend... People seemed to like them so I decided to open my Etsy shop and have been delighted with the response :)
Each mask is totally unique as they are completely handmade so colours will vary slightly. It involves several hours of work to make each one. Recently I was excited that both a fox and a wolf mask were purchased to be used in the production of a feature film 'Selah and the Spades' premiering at the Sundance Film Festival 2019!!

More recently, the masks appear in a production of the play "The Witch of Edmonton" at the Burton-Taylor Studio, Oxford Playhouse, Oxford.

I also enjoy needle felting little creatures such as birds and foxes, and papier-mache Santa balloons are another distraction.
I like small quirky things that make charming and unusual gifts :)
