I am a mom of boys from Kansas City with a background in Art Education. I grew up a couple of miles from a garden center that I always dreamed of working for. Luckily, they were brave enough to take on a clueless 15-year-old over 15 years ago, and they can't seem to shake me. While I'm mostly home with my boys these days, I love taking a few hours each week to go work in the greenhouse.

I love getting my hands dirty. I love rooting for little seedlings to grow. I love eagerly awaiting for blooms. And I love designing arrangements and containers for customers and for myself. The possibilities of textures, shapes, and colors are endless when it comes to flowers. I think of them much like I think of the elements and principles of art. It is an art in its own right.

I never liked the idea of paying through the roof for boutonnieres, corsages, and bouquets that wouldn't last, so in high school I started convincing my friends to let me make their floral swag for homecomings and proms. It's fun to pull them out years later and find that their color hasn't faded and their leaves haven't wilted.

I am now busy at my kitchen table creating custom boutonnieres and corsages. I love experimenting with different textures and any natural-looking materials I can get my hands on. I am excited to keep creating and expanding the scope of my products.
