Unsere Familie hat nie wirklich ihre Pionierwurzeln verloren, und dafür bin ich dankbar. Ich komme aus einer Familie von Machern, die das, was sie hatten, nutzten, um das zu erreichen, was sie tun mussten. Ich liebe es immer noch, Dinge aus umfunktionierten Gegenständen zu machen oder zu versuchen, etwas nachzubilden, das ich gesehen und in das ich mich verliebt habe. Ich hatte im Laufe der Jahre eine Reihe von Etsy-Shops. Meine erste war für Kinderkleidung, und ich liebte diese Lebensphase, bis meine eigenen Kinder daraus herauswuchsen. Ich mache jetzt Hundehalsbänder in unserem Schwestergeschäft The French Dog und liebe dort ein weiteres kreatives Outlet. Cottage on Cross ist jetzt eine Verkaufsstelle, um die übrig gebliebenen Stoffe, die sich nicht gut bewährt haben, für Kragen und Bandanas oder für andere Stoffabfälle zu verwenden, die ich finden kann. Es hat so viel Spaß gemacht, ihr Leben für diese ansonsten nützlichen Textilien zu finden. Ich wünsche Ihnen viel Spaß beim Stöbern in unserem Shop!

Our family never really lost it's pioneer roots, and I'm grateful for that. I come from a family of makers who used what they had to accomplish what they needed to do. I still love to make things from repurposed items, or try to recreate something I've seen and fell in love with. I've had a number of Etsy shops over the years. My first was for kids clothing, and I loved that stage of life until my own kids outgrew it. I now make dog collars in our sister shop The French Dog, and am loving another creative outlet there. Cottage on Cross is now an outlet to use the leftover fabrics that didn't do well for collars and bandanas, or for other fabric discards I can find. It's been so fun to find her life for these otherwise useful textiles. I hope you enjoy browsing our shop!
