The Shakedown Shop began in the months between YEMSG 2012 and Summer Tour 2013, when the waiting and anticipation had me listening to Phish 24/7 just counting down the days until the opener in Bangor, Maine. I frequently shopped other Etsy stores dedicated to Phish and checked out Phish Dry Goods trying to get my fashion for Summer Tour ready. However, I began to realize that the ways to express my love for the band were limited. I have an entire drawer dedicated to Phish apparel and figured it was time to think of a new idea. That's when PhishShades was born. I took to Twitter showing other phans some of my ideas and got amazing feedback. I dedicated the next few weeks before the start of tour to creating and designing each pair that you see listed on this site. With the help of an outside manufacturer I was able to see my ideas come to life on great quality and colorful Wayfarer-style sunglasses. I now even make custom designs with the help of other creative phans that want their idea on a pair of their own so they can express their love for the band! I have also recently expanded my creative process process to create a collection of apparel with a more modern twist.
