Why the Wurdeman Studio?

It all started in Mrs. Wurdeman's Store when I was five. Mrs. Wurdeman, an invention of my childhood imagination, was the imaginary shopkeeper, and her store, was the junk room tucked away in our upstairs attic. I spent hours at that store, arranging, displaying and tending to her shop. It occurred to me many years later, that what started as a creation of childhood, metamorphosed into many of my collections and fascinations.

In the spirit of Mrs Wurdeman, I love old photos, trinkets, baubles, supplies, vintage accessories - whacky, whimsical, never to be made again items. When I need to relieve stress, I still love sorting through little treasures and finding the gems and one of a kind things lurking in discards of the past. There is nothing better, than reviving them back to life and giving them a new home.

I love finding and selling old photos. I find great joy in rescuing these wonderful memories and passing them on to others. The history provides me with an ever expanding knowledge of the world, as seen through the past.

The Wurdeman Studios is an evolving collection. Stop by often and enjoy!
