Thumbprint Soap was born from a desire to use fewer toxic ingredients in my day-to-day routine. I started off buying handmade soaps, but after seeing how beautiful they could be, I just had to learn how to make it myself. So I learned and then I reformulated until I created a product that I love using every day.

My brand name came from the notion that no two bars of soap are exactly the same, just like snowflakes or fingerprints. I am a graphic designer, and have been able to utilize this skill in my packaging designs.

When choosing ingredients, I make sure that everything is free of phthalates and parabens. I'm proud to say that my product offering has grown quite a bit since 2013, but making soap is still my favorite part.

Thumbprint soaps are made with high quality ingredients in small batches using the cold process method. Although lye is used in the saponification process, there is no lye remaining in the final product. A chemical reaction takes place when the lye and oils are mixed together that ensures this.
