A Little Handmade

Lawrence, Kansas

Announcement    Welcome to A Little Handmade! Here you will find quality handmade items and craft kits for your family. Most of the things I make focus on Waldorf-style and Waldorf-themed crafts. I make all of the items myself, and I look forward to expanding my repertoire as my two children grow, and I grow with them.

I have grown more as a person since having my first son that I ever have. It wasn't until his birth that I found myself seeking an alternative to the status quo. It was shortly after he was born that I discovered Waldorf Education. It fit seamlessly with my family's desire to keep our footprints on this world small, to focus on local economy and sustainability in all that we do, and our Buddhist studies and practice.

A Little Handmade is an opportunity to do what I love while remaining true to my standards. Creating beautiful objects that can become permanent guests in our home is important to me. I use organic and local materials whenever possible, including local wool, natural dyes, local beeswax, and upcycled or 100% wool felt. Our craft kits are not made from cheap products that aren't sustainable. I want any subscriber to be satisfied with the materials in each month's kit, so I do my best to personalize the kits for each child and family whose life it will touch.

Please feel free to visit my blog, where you can see more pictures of and information on the kits, and you can be sure that this subscription is right for you and your special family member. http://www.alittlehandmade.blogspot.com

Enjoy your stay. Share your thoughts. Be well.
