To make theses pieces I first put a coat of photo-sensitive emulsion on the metal while it is still flat. Next I arrange the plants or feathers on top of the coated pieces and expose them to light. Wherever the plant casts a shadow, that is where the metal will etch in an acid etching machine. That's why the designs are so lifelike Bending the cuffs and attaching the hooks for the earrings and necklaces are the last steps. I arrange the plants again for each new piece, so no two are exactly alike. You can be sure that you're getting a one of a kind piece of jewelry!
