I hand carve each wood spirit, green man,hair stick and spoon here in my shop, which right now is my kitchen and porch. I love woodworking! I love creating!
Most of the wood I use is prunings from trees on my property or from family and friends yards. I also reuse the wood of old furniture. Once in a while I will buy wood if it's the only way I can find it. I have also traded wood with other woodworkers, which is really fun!
I like to take old and discarded stuff that others might dump and make something cool out of it!
Roots and driftwood are some of my favorite wood to carve faces in.
I love the hunt for awesome pieces of roots and driftwood.
I'm more thrilled with gifts of gnarly wood than bouquets of flowers or diamonds!
My prices reflect the amount of time, (labor of love), I put into them, which is lots and lots of hours into each piece!
