I am an Illustrator, Animator and maker of art and crafty Things. I have a passion for drawing animals and characters – my favourite animals are Hares, Foxes, Cats and Birds. I also have an interest in Steampunk, Gothic and Symbolism Art. I love texture and pattern and making art using traditional methods and mixing it with digital. I enjoy experimenting with colour and trying different methods and techniques – that element of surprise and the magic it brings. I also have a background in teaching and have delivered many creative workshops to help others learn new skills and enjoy engaging in making and creating.

At the moment I am selling hand-made Coptic Bound Books and a variety of illustrated Greeting Cards. I will be adding more designs and products to my shop in the future which will also include: Prints, Bookbinding, Articulated Paper Puppets, Book Marks, Art Bears/Animals, Art Dolls and Tutorials - very ambitious.

I have always had an interest in books and recently decided to explore the beautiful art of bookbinding. So I bought many how to books, watched endless videos online and decided to go on a few bookbinding courses. I then started to make my own books and decided to concentrate on the Coptic Bound Book as I love the fact you can open it completely flat and the creativity involved in making the beautiful decorative spine. There are so many processes involved in making the book which I find fascinating. To make them unique I added one of my illustrations to the cover which really makes the books a bit different.

For many years I have been thinking about starting an Etsy shop and just never seemed to have the confidence to do it. As a child I was always drawing and colouring and enjoyed playing with my dolls and teddy bears. I have always loved making art and crafty things and also have a passion for animation - bringing things to life which as a child I would do with my dolls.

I wanted to start making all the things I love and enjoy and that is why I decided to start this little shop. It is a chance for me to do what I feel passionate about –to make and create, to learn and discover new skills, face new challenges and really push my creativity. I also believe the magic of engaging in art making and creativity is fundamental and beneficial to wellbeing - it has certainly helped me.
