I am Magnolia. I was born in Colombia, in a small village in the Andes. I grew up surrounded by the nature of the tropical mountains which entered my heart and which still inspires my life.

My degree in environmental sciences led me deep into the heart of my country's Amazon rainforest to study its ecology. While there I finally understood that my real passion lies in a creative and artistic approach to the world about me.

I have worked with jewellery since I was fifteen years old. My eldest brother taught the art and craft to his family, who now develop it further while maintaining the same passion in their artisan workshop

I delight in giving life to each piece by fusing and transforming metals - gold and silver - often uniting them with precious and semi-precious gemstones. Inspiration is all around – the colours and forms of minerals, the magnificence of nature, and in the joys and sorrows of everyday life and people.
I have four different collections that I would love to show you:

ORIGINS (new) : Pre-Colombian jewellers crafted beautiful gold pieces, with geometrical and animal shapes which they decorated with aesthetic, harmonious and patterned designs.
Today, my Origins collection is my contemporary interpretation of these ancestral influences.
The simple geometrical shapes are fused with the strong and unique forms of insects, here inspired by the textures and leg shapes of tropical beetles. These are used to create harmonious ring bands and three dimensional curved, triangular, and cuboid figures, decorated with 18ct gold symbols and colourful gemstones.

SPICE OF LIFE: Featuring strong peppercorn textures expressed in silver and in gold. The naturalistic shapes of the pepper provide opportunities to play with contrasting elements of precious and semi-precious gemstones, together making a wonderful fusion and unique jewellery.

NESTING: I use the diverse shapes of bird’s nests to symbolize the simplicity and love of a harmonious home. The nests are finely woven from silver thread, with gold accenting the birds and eggs. The collection is enriched with gemstones, such as delicate white, black and pink pearls.

ROSES: Wonderful, dramatic scented flowers that have inspired all the arts throughout history and a classic design motif for jewels. Silver, 9 carat and 18 carat gold and gemstones complement these open and delicate roses to reflect the intricate designs of nature.
