Welcome to Sue Norman Pottery 🌿
My pottery journey began nearly 10 years ago and has grown from a love of clay, nature and creating pieces that are a little bit different.
Much of my work is inspired by the natural world around me. I particularly love creating leaf-impression pottery, using real leaves to press their beautiful textures and details directly into the clay. This means no two pieces are ever quite the same.
Alongside my leaf-impression pieces, I make my popular stoneware wind chimes, as well as jewellery, dishes, platters and one-off pieces using techniques such as raku and horsehair firing.
Everything is handmade by me in small batches, from forming and decorating the clay through to glazing, firing and finishing each individual piece.
One of my favourite parts of selling my pottery is seeing where it travels. My pieces have now found homes all over the UK, and knowing something I've made by hand is being enjoyed in someone else's home is still incredibly special.
Thank you for visiting my little shop and supporting handmade. 💚
