a flower story 4

Description

this is from a sweet and sullen fashion shoot I made in a studio themed "a flower story"

I am listing some of the original 8x10 inch polaroids from my fashion shoots in Italy.
When I am shooting (head under the dark cloth) the story is already planned well in advance ...each shot carefully storyboarded,styled and art directed.
For each image I often shoot up to 20 or 30 polaroids from which 3 or 4 are chosen and the rest are ripped up and destroyed...(it is an extremely expensive stock and we must be very very particular about each polaroid ...)

Of the 4 choices the first is chosen for publishing and the others remain as favourites but unpublished. the 4th in the series is often a wild card something that will never be published but there is something about it that I cannot throw away ...it could be the imperfections in the polaroid chemistry, an accident with the processor or just a captured moment ...
happy chance that makes a really unique unrepeatable image.

I have decided that rather than leaving the images trapped in boxes in various dark storage places all over the world, that i will set some of them free

The nature of polaroid is the beauty of its imperfections and the atmosphere it exudes....it has a beautiful depth and softness that almost feels three dimensional...it's wonderful stuff and I will be so very very sorry if polaroid does stop producing it as threatened with the digital revolution ....

These images are single , one off , originals.
They are not prints nor polaroid transfer
There is no negative or transparency existing of these images
Each Polaroid is its own entity and will be signed and dated.

Each shoot runs at between 6-12 pages ... so there may be others in the series which i have still in storage or just have not yet listed ...purely to give an overview of several different stories to start off with ...if you are interested in seeing the others from a series convo me and i will look them out ... :)
