Rainbow Challenge Scarf

You don't always need rain to see a rainbow! Carry one with you every day with a Rainbow Challenge Scarf!This is my entry for the 2nd official EtsyHookers Team Challenge! We were asked to dream up a piece using 5 of the 7 colors of the spectrum (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet). I just couldn't leave one out, so I decided to use them all (plus a few other shades)! I tend to let color inspire my designs. I wander through shops looking for yarn that speaks to me in some way. I love trying different colors and textures to create just the right feel!
This is an adaptation of my popular Blooming Vine Scarf. I crocheted 10 'vines' together to form an open lattice pattern. Blooms in various sizes cascade down the vines and fall gently toward the ground on each end.
This piece was made with dual function in mind. Wear it open, and it becomes a fun, flirty shawl. Wear it scrunched together and you've got yourself a playful, funky scarf! Wrap it around your neck in various ways to alter the warmth. The super-soft yarn is perfect for any time of year!
