Description

A very cute chickadee relaxing at his birdhouse is the design for this mosaic creation. It may be used as a trivet, wall hanging or just about anywhere you would like.

The glass was all hand cut and glued to a sealed composite disk. The colors are bright and cheerful, including a bright yellow, red, green and brown. The background is a light blue with white swirl glass, perfect for a summer sky. The glue used is made for mosaics and adhering glass. The disk was first painted white, allowing the glass colors to be true and not muddied by a brown surface. The grout is white and was sealed with an indoor/outdoor mosaic sealer. The side and bottom of the disk was sealed with a decoupage sealer. I have also placed 3 cork disks on the bottom to protect any surface you place it on. I can add a hanger if you wish to display it on a wall, just make a note when placing the order.

Dimensions are 12" diameter circle, 3/4" thickness.

A multitude of designs can be used for a piece of this type, also square or rectangle shapes can be used as a base. If you would like a custom mosaic, just send me a conversation, I would love to make a special work of art just for you.
