The top of this 2.5 inch diameter (6.35 cm.), .9 inch height (2.3 cm) tin is decorated with an embroidered blackwork design that is very lacy and elegant. Blackwork is a distinctive embroidery technique that became popular in sixteenth century England for covering caps, gloves, sleeves, and bodices. Why not bring some of this elegance of the past into your present? The blackwork is accented in the design with golden braid and is surrounded by black and gold cording. The bottom of the tin's interior is lined with black felt. The rest of the tin is in the original silver color.
