This is a wonderfully fresh smelling soap and shampoo bar, handmade made with all vegetable oils and peppermint essential oil (vegan). The peppermint has a cooling and slightly tingling effect that is very refreshing! The listing is for one extra-large bar (5 ounces).

This is a perfect morning soap! Its fresh, minty scent can help give you that pep you need to start the day. The cocoa butter, castor oil and hemp oil make this a great moisturizing soap. This bar feels wonderful, produces a luxurious lather and leaves you feeling clean and soft. My family has found that we can use it as shampoo without needing a conditioner. It leaves our hair feeling soft and healthy.

When using shampoo bars on a regular basis, some people find they get a build up of soap residue over time. This can be cleared away easily by using an occasional hair rinse. Our family has not experienced this build up with any of the soaps we use as shampoo but your mileage may vary.

This soap/shampoo is made from scratch by me using the hot process method. It’s made from olive oil, palm kernel oil, castor oil, cocoa butter, water, lye, hemp oil, grapefruit seed extract, peppermint essential oil and color.

About the ingredients:
(In doing research on the ingredients I’ve found that they are said to have the following properties.)

Olive Oil: Rich in vitamin e which is a natural protector of the skin. Olive Oil prevents the loss of your skin's natural moisture, softens skin and attracts external moisture to your skin. It helps keeps your skin soft, supple and younger looking.

Palm Kernel Oil: Makes a hard bar that lathers beautifully.

Hemp Oil: Can be a soothing, healing oil, especially for dry skin.

Castor Oil: Moisturizing oil that also acts as a lather booster. Castor oil is a wonderful addition to hair products.

Cocoa Butter: Acts to lay down a protective layer which holds the moisture to the skin, so it is an excellent skin softener.

Grapefruit Seed Extract: A natural preservative to give soap a longer shelf life.

Hot Processed (HP) Soap: These soaps are similar to cold processed (CP) soaps, but whereas the saponification of CP soap happens over time, the saponification of HP soap is brought about by adding heat.
