Real Jade Flower Purse Charm - zipper pull charm

I love to garden, inside and outside! So in order to be able to garden year round, I have a large number of houseplants. Every spring I put them out in my flower beds, and let them grow with natural sunlight and rain. In the fall I bring them in and they are always loaded with flower buds.

This year one of my favourites, the Jade plant (friendship tree or Money Plant, Crassula ovata) started to bloom in September, and is bloomed until January. I chose some of the most luxurient blooms, pressed them into a special book, and let them dry. This one kept its colours very well I think. The flowers are very tiny, and they are white with a tinge of pink.

I created this pretty little Jade pendant purse charm without the use of any forms or molds.

The pendant is made out of minty coloured Polymer clay. I cured it according to manufacturer's directions, then I affixed the dried flower with Delta Ceramacoat. After it was dry I applied 3 more coats of Delta Ceramacoat to ensure longevity.

I made a loop of sterling silver wire and looped a pretty pink ribbon through it.

The pendant measures approximately 1 1/8 inches. Including the ribbon it is 3 1/2 inches long.

This charm can be used as a zipper pull, purse charm, or even a charm for your keychain.

Please, keep in mind, fimo clay sculptures are not toys. They are meant to be decorations.

Please treat it as you would any figurine, with care.

I recommend that it is Not given to children.
