Chocolate Temptation cuff

This was my entry for the March 2009 EBW Challenge Temptation.

When I heard that the March Challenge theme was going to be Temptation, my first thought was: chocolate. A few short weeks later, this stunning creation emerged, filled with enough chocolate colored beads to satisfy even the biggest chocolate lovers.

This rich chocolate cuff is made with a single drop peyote stitch base of size 8 Japanese Toho beads in four rich browns and a luscious cream. It has more than 600 fringes on the top with the same size 8 Tohos as well as three size 11 Tohos in two of the same rich browns as the base and one more luscious cream. It also has fringes along each side. The clasp is a milk chocolate colored plastic button and a loop made from the same Tohos used in the cuff.

The cuff is 5 3/4" (14.6 cm) long when clasped and just over 1" (2.54 cm) wide. It is made with approx. 56 grams of beads. You will notice the weight on your wrist but it is well worth it!
