Intricate Portuguese Tile Pendant

Description

This tile is by far the most intricately painted that I have - it's almost like filigree with paint. Done in shades of brown, blue, green, rust, maroon, red and white, you'll find a new swirl or dot every time you look at this! These pendants are made from photos I took of tiles in Ovar Portugal, printed and then set in resin to create a unique piece of jewelry. They measure 1 1/2 inches square but are extremely light and wearable. This tile comes with a kumihimo braided cord in coordinating colors. The cord is approximately 21 1/2 inches including silver plated twist clasp. If you would prefer a silver plated chain with lobster claw clasp instead, let me know and I will refund $8 via PayPal after purchase.

These tiles have been living in my heart for months now, and I've slowly been working them out! I visited Portugal with my husband's family this past December and I instantly fell in love with the tiles that cover the houses in Ovar. On our last day there, I walked around and took close up photos of all the tiles without really knowing why, just that they inspired me on a deep level and I would want these photos someday. These pendants evoke the warmth and hospitality of the people I met, family and otherwise, in Portugal. I'm so pleased to share a little piece of Portugal with you! These tiles are large, statement pieces!

This listing is for one tile in the pattern in the first three photos - the last two photos are to show scale only. These resin tiles are water resistant, but not water proof (especially the cords!) so please remove before showering or swimming.
