In my endless quest to find the best, most interesting vintage zippers, the discovery of two matching slides is a major victory! I love zippers, and I equally love sharing my passion for them with others! That's how these earrings came about...

These slides were taken from two vintage Talon invisible zippers. In case you are wondering "how can zippers be invisible?": they are the type of zippers where the teeth cannot be seen, used when you don't want the zipper to stand out after it has been sewn in. Talon invisible zippers have a unique and interesting shape and their dangly pulls display the brand name. These are a beautiful, bubblegum pink color.

The slides have been carefully removed from two similar vintage zippers, washed, and attached to high-quality sterling silver posts with sterling silver ear nuts. The slides are made of metal (usually steel or aluminum) and painted with enamel.

Vintage zipper studs are great for teens, young adults and the young at heart. They make a great and very unique gift for just about any occasion!
