Indian Summer Sunset - T2788

Description

This is my entry for the September ETSY BEADWEAVERS CHALLENGE: "Indian Summer Dream". I chose these rich and vibrant colours to recall and capture the beautiful colours of the Indian Summer Sunsets. There is nothing like nature, in this case, SUNSETS, that reminds me more of our Creator God. Glory to Him for such beauty!!

I love the 2-orange/brown semi precious stones, which set the tone for this necklace. I embroidered the first stone with vibrant orange, brown and gold crystal beads, seeds and bugles. I used peach crystals and beaded it with some bugles and seeds, but left some spaces so that the crystals will still be visible. In the Cellini ropes I picked up the same beads and glass disks that I used in the pendant, to complement the embroidered piece. To finish this off, I worked some orange seeds around the other semi precious stone, did some embroidery on the top of the stone, and gave it a woven picot edging. To round this perfectly off, I beaded the clasp.

The necklace is about 22" (55.5cm) in length.
