Tiny arachnid necklace

Description

I was recently inspired by the children's book "Sophie's Masterpiece". I have a new love of spiders.
This necklace is my solution to making a spider that is beautiful and charming, and whimsical - and not "spooky" or costume like. It can be worn year round. It is a little bit goth but also very dainty and feminine.
The chain is also has a slight industrial feel to it -- but it is also quite delicate.

The spider is about an inch across. It is entirely handmade -- thus each spider is a little bit different. This necklace is fun to wear - when I wear mine I feel like I have a little friend along for the ride.

The necklace measures about 15 3/4 inches (including the handmade ring) and then the spider hangs roughly 2 inches down from the ring. The necklace includes a handmade clasp.
